Lib Dem Councillors call for safety improvements to the Huntingdon Ring Road

Huntingdon East District Councillors Nathan Hunt and Jo Harvey have called safety improvements to the Huntingdon Ring Road and the footpaths around it.
Following a tragic incident in 2020, Nathan and Jo have been calling for upgrades to protect vulnerable pedestrians and cyclists and to ensure a similar incident can never happen again.
They organised a site visit, which was attended by Dr Nik Johnson (Mayor of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority), Cllr Lucy Nethsingha (Lib Dem Leader of Cambridgeshire County Council) and Cllr Graham Wilson (Lib Dem County Councillor for Godmanchester and Huntingdon South), so they could see the issues with the current situation.
Nathan said: "It's been great to raise awareness of these issues and talk about possible solutions to help prevent another tragedy. I'm really grateful to Nik, Lucy and Graham for taking the time to visit and see the problems first hand and have a positive chat about what we can do to fix these problems."
