Mark Argent to stand in Huntingdon Constituency at General Election

Huntingdon Liberal Democrats have chosen Mark Argent to stand in the next General Election.
Mark is has been involved with Huntingdon Liberal Democrats since the 2019 General Election, where we achieved an 87% increase in our vote, which was well ahead of the national trend.
Since then, five decades of Conservative control on Huntingdonshire District Council have come to an end. We're looking forward to putting a strong case for Liberal Democrat values in the General and subsequent County and District Council Elections.
Mark's priorities in going to Westminster are:
-
securing resources for Huntingdonshire to help people struggling to afford places to live and to spread the benefits of the “Cambridge bubble”;
-
working to ensure that the NHS, both locally and nationally, has the resources it needs to meet our physical and mental health needs now and in the future.
-
acting on climate change, and building a thriving zero carbon economy; and
-
repairing our fractured relationship with the EU.
