Successful Summer BBQ
The sun shone on our Summer BBQ this year, we all gathered to relax and celebrate the wins that Huntingdonshire have had over the last year.
Geoff Seeff was successfully elected in the county council by-election in the Eatons (St.Neots). Geoff has been busy representing his residents whilst sitting on the Audit and Accounts committee, Adult and Health Committee along with the Social Inclusion and Mobility Committee.
In a hard fought campaign in Yaxley and Farcet our local candidate Andrew Wood won the county council by-election in March penetrating the Blue wall in the north of Huntingdonshire.
The next By-Election arrived only a few weeks later and our team successfully got back on the campaigning trail winning the District seat of Great Paxton with our local candidate James Catmur.
Our campaigning ramped up again in June for the July General Election which saw an amazing 72 Liberal Democrat MPs voted into Parliament, one of which is our own Ian Sollom to the newly formed St.Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire Seat.
Ian Sollom MP shared his experience of his first week in Parliament and talked about the atmosphere in the corridors of Westminster.
